It's a .......

We went to the doctor today to have our complete ultrasound done. Our appointment was at 8:00 so that Jason could come too. They said that almost everything looked great. The only concern was that they could not find everything that they needed to on the heart. They are not sure if it's just that they couldn't see it on this ultrasound machine, or if it is just not there, so they are having us have another ultrasound in 2 weeks with a perinatologist that comes to EIRMC once a week from Utah. They are hoping that the added two weeks and having the ultrasound done with a high risk doctor and a higher tech ultrasound machine that they will be able to see what they need to and that there will be nothing wrong. So now we have to wait an excruciating two weeks to find out for sure. They said, worse case scenario is that we may be having the baby in Utah so that it can be operated on if it is needed. I will update more after the appointment. Now on to the good news.

We are having a .........

BOY! Jason is very excited to be getting a little boy. Plus the fact that it makes him right. He has said from the very beginning that it was a boy, but I think that most of it was he stubbornness to admit that it could possibly be a girl. But it is going to be really cool because I have a nephew that is about 17 months and another that is due in about a month so he will have lots of boy cousins to play with. They also said that the original due date stands so if he comes on that day he will be a 9/11 baby!

Here is the profile.

Part Alien? (Notice the Spock hand gesture.)

I was debating on whether or not to post one of these ones, but Jason said I had to, so here is the proof. All boy!
On another note last night, (May 3rd), Jason felt the baby move for the first time. Jason had his hand on my belly while we were watching TV, the baby did a few kicks and then a somersault. Jason only felt the somersault, but was still really excited.

Birthday and Movement

So I know this is late but I haven't been able to find the cord for my camera so I can get my pictures off. Friday the 17th was my 23rd birthday! I love birthday's they are so much fun! Jason never has a hard time knowing my birthday is coming up because I start counting like two weeks before, although since my first birthday that we were together was on a Sunday, and we celebrated my birthday on Saturday, when you first ask him my birthday is the 16, but then he quickly corrects himself! :) But anyways back to the day itself. It actually kind of started Thursday night, Jason was going to play ball with some of the guys he works with, and so I would have something to do he gave me my present from "the dogs". Shanyce and Oso got me the Lego Indiana Jones game for the PS3. I love the Lego games, they are so much fun to do, we already have the Star Wars games, and I love playing it. I was surprised at how much harder the levels were then the Star Wars game. But anyways back to the birthday. So I played my game until Jason got home. By the time he had showered it was about 12:30AM, so technically my birthday! Jason is such a big kid and can never wait to give me my present (Christmas is the ONLY exception!), so he gave it to me before we went to bed. Even though I had told him not to get me anything, since we have just moved and got all new carpet and paint, he didn't listen and got me a hard drive! I have been wanting one for a long time. I'm always scared that our computer is going to crash and we are going to lose all of the pictures that I have on it. So it was the perfect gift! Thanks Babe! That night my Mom and Dad took us out to eat at Texas Road House. I LOVE their rolls. It was a fun time and really good food. Thanks Mom and Dad! Then to end the birthday weekend, on Sunday we went for a ride to Jackson Hole. The town was pretty much closed down, but it was still a pretty drive. We laughed about the fact that we drove all that way to eat at a place that we have in IF (Bubba's) and the only other stop we made was at Kmart (also in IF) to get some snacks for the ride home, But we still had fun and enjoyed the time together. Now on to other news. I am way behind in posting this but I have felt the baby move. I started feeling it at about 16 and half weeks. It is pretty fun and very reassuring when you feel it moving around. We still have our ultrasound appointment this Thursday, so I will update again when I know more!

This is at Palisades dam. The picture is a little crooked, because it was sitting on the hood of our car.

Another of Palisades.

Shanyce eating her piece of birthday cake. It was an ice cream cake and the different colors on top would dye Shanyce's beard. Her beard was pink and green, I tried to get a picture but you couldn't see it.

Oso was such a pig that by the time I got the camera out, he had already eaten his piece.

Here you go Krey, this is a picture of the front of our house, just for you. :)

You gotta love Idaho weather!

So a couple of weeks ago it was 65 degrees with no snow. On Sunday we had a mini blizzard, but it has since melted. The last couple of days it has snowed on and off but not too bad and not for too long, and has always melted before the end of the day. But today it has been snowing hard and non stop since about 6:30 this morning. I am so ready for spring but feel like I should be singing Christmas carols and decorating a tree. Oh well I guess there is nothing I can do about it. I also had my regular doctor's appointment yesterday, they said everything is good, I did lose a pound from my last visit but nothing worrisome, especially since we have been moving and doing a lot. But we did make an appointment for the 30th for the complete ultrasound, where, hopefully, we get to find out what we are having! Yea!

Moving Day Part Two

We moved, again. On Friday March 27th exactly one month from to the day that we moved from our old house on 20th Street, we moved into our new/old house on Carmel. We actually didn't close on our old house until the 17th of March but we let Manda and Billy move in on the original close date so that they didn't have to move twice like we did. We closed on the Carmel Dr house on the 26, but weren't expecting to get the keys until Friday, but after we had closed and eaten lunch, we were heading back to Jason's work and our realtor called and said they were completely moved out and had the keys for us, so we went back and got the keys. Jason called in and took the rest of the day off. We went and got carpet samples, and painting supplies (you'll see why) and waited for the call that it was all processed. Then we went to house and started taping. We were there until we ran out of tape. Then we headed out to mom and dad's for the night. Friday the 27 we started moving in. We also got the carpet ordered and started painting. Thanks to Jason's parents, sister's, and their husbands for all the help painting and moving everything out of the storage bay. We painted Friday night and most of the day Saturday, it was a big job but thanks to the help it went by pretty fast. We only painted the rooms that had carpet in them so we could get them done before the new carpet came. Monday the 30th Jason tore out the old carpet and took it to the dump. It actually didn't take as long as we thought it was going to. Shanyce has had a really hard time again with the move. Then she got even worse after the carpet was gone. We started calling her Eeyore then Jason changed it to "little Eeyorea". She has gotten better since the carpet came and we moved in more stuff. Then on April 1st, no joke, our new carpet got laid. I was so excited to watch it come in. It was hard to watch as they put them pad in with so many staples, that had taken us hours to pull out, but it was worth it. I had the dogs outside when the carpet layers first got to our house but a couple of hours later it started snowing, so me and the dogs went downstairs for the remainder of the time. It took them five hours but it was worth it. That night my mom and dad and brother Jaden, and Jason's dad came down and helped us move everything from our garage into the house. It was so nice to sleep on our bed with the frame. We had been sleeping downstairs in one of the bedrooms with our mattress on the floor until we got the carpet upstairs. The downstairs is unfinished except for the two bedrooms and the bathroom. So I have been busy unpacking and trying to find a place for everything. But it's OK, because I really like our new house, and even more so with the paint and carpet that we got to pick, it feels even more so like it's OUR house. Well that's it for now, Thanks again to all who helped and mom and dad for letting us live with you for a month!
