January

Not a whole lot happened in January so I'm consolidating it into one post. We did, however find out that we are having a little girl, and got both kids' room's painted shortly after that. (Jason insisted we re-paint Asher's room because the green was too "babyish" and he is no longer a baby, but I'm so glad he did, I love the new color, and Asher loves having more room to play in his room) I will have to put up some pictures if I can ever get the rooms done, and then clean long enough to get a picture!
Dad got him this bike at DI for $10ish, and him and Asher are re-finishing it. Hopefully it will be done by spring.
He had lots of fun pushing it around the kitchen the night Dad brought it home
We did finally get some snow, and Asher had a blast "helping" Dad shovel the driveway. He stayed out there for about 45 minutes just playing and running in the snow!
He was so wet when he finally came in, of course it didn't help that Dad decided to have a snow fight with him (by that I mean just throwing snow at Asher as he was running around and laughing!)

This right here takes talent! Doing two puzzles on two different devices at the same time! (He loves doing these puzzles! So Jason's Kindle has the app and so does my tablet)

Tasha's Wedding

Our niece Tasha got married on January 14 (Which just happened to be our anniversary of our first date, 7 years ago) It was such a pretty wedding, and she looked absolutely beautiful! Congrats Tasha and Ryan!
My brother giving away his daughter. Not the best picture, but it was the best I could do from where I was sitting.

Being Married

When Daddy is home it's time to PLAY!

Jason had some time he had to use up before the end of the year, so he took the before, and the week after Christmas off! It was SO much fun, and Asher had such a hard time when he had to go back (me too!) The week before was mainly spent getting the finishing touches ready for Christmas (it was so nice to have help!) But the week after was for PLAYING! And play we did!
Aside from all the fun stuff we did at home, and of course shopping and spending our Christmas money, we also went to a movie, Puss in Boots.
Asher loved having his own pop and popcorn
And we had to bring the new Cars with us. (He wouldn't leave home for like a month without these three Cars)
Asher used the stickers he got for Christmas to decorate his foot. So pretty!
And of course we had to take him bowling for the first time!
He had so much fun (for about the first 5 frames), then he got bored having to wait for his turn, and just sat and watched the rest of the time
He would get so excited and jump up and down and point the whole time the ball was going down, until it hit the pins
He did pretty good with Dad's help (Mom wasn't as good at helping, we had lots of gutter balls when Mom would help. I had just had my shoulder dislocated, so between that and being pregnant, I really wasn't the best bowler)
 "Oh man, it missed"

And Jason's time off ended with New Year's Eve!

Christmas '11

I have so many pictures that I'm just going to let them do most of the talkin'!
 Christmas Eve
 Opening his Christmas Pajamas!

 What Santa left
 More proof Santa was here
 Everyone's stockings
Right before we woke him up at 9:30
He wasn't sure what was going on at first
Then he saw his presents. This face made all of the crazy Christmas time stuff worth it! And even better was that I got it camera!
He wasn't sure what to do with his four-wheeler at first, so he sat by it and looked at it
Looked at some other things Santa brought...
Then finally decided to try it out
This was his face after he figured out he could push a button and make it go!
Opening some of Santa's other gifts

 Batman stuff
 Cars sleeping bag
Right after I took this picture, he gave his sleeping bag a big hug!
Looking to see what Santa left in his stocking
Some Cars cars, magnets, and of course lots of Asher's favorite candies!
Once he found the cars, it was hard to get him to unwrap anymore presents. (Notice my new Cricut that I got!)
 Jason opening up his Kindle
This was about the only other present he was interested in. He carried it around with him for like 2 weeks beforehand. I kept hiding it, and he kept finding it!
He was very excited when he could actually open it!

The remote control car he got from G-ma and G-pa James. And with the money from my parents, he got some more Cars cars (that he got to pick out) and two Cars t-shirts!

Temple Square!

So we decided, kind of last minute to make a trip to Salt Lake to look at the lights! I'm so glad we did, even though it was super cold and was a quick trip, down one day back the next, we still had lots of fun!
Dad and Asher in front of the big tree!
It was so cold outside that our camera didn't want to focus!
Waiting for our dinner at Crown Burger! (I LOVE their french dip!)
It was extremely busy, so we had a long wait. Thankfully our hotel was just across the street, so it didn't take us to long to get home after we ate! (We got a hotel close so we could just walk to Temple Square)
 Really long wait
 Still no food!
And this is one way to keep a toddler entertained on the way home, stickers!

After he finished up his sheet of Cars stickers, it was time to sit back, relax and watch Cars!
