~HeArT UpDaTe~

So I relized that haven't posted an update on how Asher's heart is doing! I know I'm a horrible mom, but in my defense I didn't even really know 'till his last appointment. He had an appointment on March 17th with his cardiologist that comes to EIRMC from Primary's. She said that his EKG looked really good, and didn't even order an echo! She did finally tell us what the results were from his echo that he had clear back in NOVEMBER! (Yes we did try to get the results sooner, as did his doctor's office. But no one down at Primary's could "find" it to send to his regular doctor). But she said that his heart isn't really enlarged anymore, (FYI she did tell me all of this from memory, so that is why it is worded with terms like "better"  and "good") his valve is closing much better, and that overall his heart is doing good. She also said that there is no more fluid around his heart, and no signs of pulmonary hypertension anymore! YAY, YAY, YAY!!!! It really made my day hearing all of that good news, especially since we had been waiting since Nov. She did say that he still has the hole (aka: he still has a murmur) inbetween his two chambers (she didn't say which two) and that it should close completely on it's own by the time he is 2-3 years old, but they will be keeping an eye on it. Lastly she said she would see him back in 6 months, so when he is about a year old! It will be so nice not seeing so many doctors so often, and even better, not NEEDING to see so many doctors so often! So all in all REALLY good news! And of course, here is a picture of the boy himself!

SEVEN Months at the Park!

Asher turned 7 months on Sunday! That was such a short month! It seem like he had just turned 6 months and BAM! Now he is 7 months old! I'm so not getting use to how fast he is growing! Sunday was a fairly nice day except for the wind, but that didn't stop us from going to the park for a little. The dogs LOVE the park and haven't been since last fall, so as we were out for our Sunday drive we decided to stop and play for a little while. Asher got to go down the slide and swing with Daddy for a little while, and LOVED both! Both him and the dogs would have preferred to stay longer, but since we didn't want an ear infection, we packed up and left not long after we arrived. We are looking for forward to some REALLY nice days and lots more of them so we can go to the park lots more often.

Seven Months Old!

• Asher can now roll all over the place! I actually have my fireplace barricaded with pillows
• He has 6 teeth: two on top and four on bottom. The two on top and one on bottom aren't completly through yet
• He is sleeping in his own room in his crib, however Jason and I occationally sleep on the futon mattress on his floor if he is being a bad boy and not sleeping (we just leave it in his room just in case)
• He is getting really good at sitting, and if he has a toy to keep him occupied, he will sit for quite a while before toppling over
• He still really loves to "sing" and has now started squealing. He squeals the most in the late afternoon/early evening. It is cute but can give me quite the headache after a while :)

That's about all I can think of for now. Like I said it was a short month! But he is growing like crazy, and is getting to be a bigger boy every day!

The first part of March Oso turned two! Jason and I differ on the exact day. I thought it was the 5th, and he thought it was the 6th, but either way Oso is now two! Happy Birthday Oso!

Basketball!

This year Jason only played on the Qwest team for basket ball. (Normally he also playes on a team in the Rire league). It was weird not having three games a week, but nice! Jason's team made it all the way to the Championship game in their division, but lost the final game. It was a close, and really good game. I totally forgot to bring in the diaper bag, so I don't have any pictures of the last game, but here are some from earlier in the season. Good Job Jason!

Asher watching the game. He really like watching the games and was usually very good during them. He would get a little wiggly towards the end though. He would even sleep sometimes, I don't know how though, they were some LOUD games, but I wasn't complaining!
