Videos!

Here is the video of Asher rolling over. Now the only problem is that he hates being on his stomach, but whenever you put him on his back he immediately rolls onto his stomach, and then gets very mad.

Asher playing in the tub at bear lake. He did swallow a little water and choked at the end of the clip but was fine. And he still had lots of fun!

Here are a few thing about my five month old:

-Just before he turned five months he weighed 13 lbs 3 oz

-He has two teeth

-He loves his daddy very much. They're best friends

-He can roll over from his back to his belly

-He prefers being in the big bath tub with either mom or dad, rather than in his little tub alone

-He now sleeps in his own room, and wakes up once, between 5-6am then is up for the day between 8-9

-He loves being in his jumperoo, or bumbo. In other words, independent, for a little while each day

I love you, Asher!

Picture Overload!
So Asher has done so many things this last week that I thought I would just do one big post with all of his accomplishments of the last little while. First of all I finally got a picture of tooth, then on Monday when we got to Bear Lake we found another one! So he now has two teeth. Then on Thursday he turned five months! Wow! One more month and he will be half a year old! That night he sleep in his own room for the first time and has slept there ever since. We probably could have moved him sooner, but I was having a hard time with it. In fact, his cradle is still in our room, just in case. ;) We actually still don't have a crib, so he is sleeping in his playpen, but hopefully he will have a crib soon! Then on Saturday he had his first run in with cereal. He did NOT like it! He started crying the minute we put him in his high chair and didn't really stop until we got him out! Then his biggest accomplishment of the week. Sunday night he ROLLED OVER! Jason was home teaching, and I had layed Asher on his back on his play mat, when I came back he was on his stomach! He did it one more time before we actually saw it. Then I ended up taking 12 video clips of him ALMOST rolling over before he actually did it for us to see. Also on Sunday he decided that since the guy on the stand was talking he should be too. He talked for a good part of the end of Sacrament. Very loudly. My little boy grew up a lot all in a weeks time, I'm glad he is growing so good but it is a little bittersweet, he's more of a big boy than my little baby.

I realized that I haven't put any pictures of the dogs on here lately, but they are still here and kickin' it. Mosty they just sleep, eat, and play. Sounds kind of like a little boy I know:)

I also don't put many pictures of me and Asher on here but that is because I am usually taking the pictures, but here is one of me and my little/big boy

Mini VaCay!

Last week Jason took the whole week off, since he has basically had a class since July, and was really needing a break. So Monday we packed up and headed down to Bear Lake for two nights. I was really looking forward to the hot tub since last year I was pregnant, so it's been a while since I have been in one, but we weren't sure what we were going to do with Asher. We were just going to set Asher in his seat next to hot tub, and hoped that he would be good for a while. But on the way down Jason said that he had a surprise for us, when we got there we found out that the surprise was actually a BIG jetted tube in our room. It worked out so much better because we didn't have to go outside in the cold to get to the pool, we didn't have to share with anyone else, and Asher got to get in too. We didn't have to worry about it being too hot, or the yucky water, and Asher had a blast! So every night we had our own POOL PARTY! It was a very relaxing lazy couple of days (we only left our room once to go for a drive) we just napped, watched movies, and of course had our pool party's! It was so much fun! Thanks Jason, for the wonderful getaway, it was much needed for both of us and lots of fun! And thanks mom and dad for watching the dogs for us!

I think this is such a cute picture. Asher and Daddy became even better best friends during his week off

Story Time

Every night at about 9:00 Jason and Asher have "Jammer Time" also know as pajamma time. After Asher is in his jammers, then it's story time, and Jason reads Asher a book, or part of a book. Asher has the original story of Winnie-the-pooh, so that is usually what they read part of, but occationally they will read another story just for fun. I do read to him too, occationally, but this is Jason and his tradition that started when we were still in the hospital, and Jason would read Asher a story every night. I love that they have this special time together, especially since when Jason has a class he only gets to see Asher for a few hours every night before he goes to bed. It's also nice for me to just be able to relax and listen to the story for the night!

Even though he has Tigger in both of these pictures, he usually has his penguin during story time

I finally found the picture with the penguin in it. I knew I had one somewhere!

Party with Family

On the 16th my mom's sister Brenda, and her daughter Brandy, and Brandy's son Mason came up for the weekend, so we had a get together out at Jaden and Julie's house with them, my parents, and my mom's other sister Barbara and her family. We had some wonderful smoked chicken that Jaden did on his BBQer, and tons of other great food, and just visited for a while. It was great to see everyone, and be able to show off our little boy, since Brenda, Brandy, and Heidi had never seen him in person before! Hope to see you all again soon! I didn't do too well taking pictures, and everyone was getting ready to leave, so I quickly took some pictures of everyone so most of them aren't the greatest, and I didn't even get one of Jason and Asher! But they were there too, I promise!

Koden's Birthday

So our nephew, Koden's Birthday is actually Dec 29th, but since it is so close to Christmas, his parents usually don't have his party until Jan. This year they had it on the 10th and he turned 2 years old! He was very cute about opening his presents and had to be sitting in he camping chair that he got while he opened them. Happy Birthday Ko!

~Random~

I have all of these pictures that I wanted to put on here but they are all just random so that's how I decided to put them on, no story, just random!
Just an FYI there are 3 other new posts besides this one, I got really behind!

My brother Krey and Asher in their "twin" shirts. Jason and Asher also have twin shirts, but Asher's is still too big! :(

Asher now fits a lot better in his bathrobe

Jason took Asher all over the house like this

We put him in this today for the first time. He looks so small in it, but he thought it was pretty cool, and had lots of fun in it

This is our blackmail picture for when he gets older, Jason got him dressed today and pulled his pants up as far as he could

2010!

This year for New Year's we decided to have the James' come over to our house instead of going to Jason's parents in hopes of getting a little boy to sleep on time and not messing with his routine too much, and to our surprise it worked! I didn't think that he was going to stay asleep after he went to bed because it was so loud with everyone laughing and playing games, but he slept right through it and didn't wake up until about 10:00 the next morning! It was nice! We also had plenty of fun playing games, eating, visiting, and counting down to the new year. Thanks everyone for coming! We had a blast!

Playing games

One of the games we played, Jason had to pretend that his hands were stuck to his chest, or somthing like that. It was pretty funny to watch.

FiRsT tOoTh!

At the Jackson Christmas party we, (well technically Jason) found Asher's first tooth! We had thought that he might be teething, but nothing ever came so we figured we were wrong, then the day after Christmas, there it was it all it's poky, sharp glory. I haven't been able to get a picture of it but believe me it's there, I think he is also getting the one next to it in as well. He wasn't really that fussy with the first one and was still sleeping really well, but with this next one he has been more fussy, and just wants to be held while you standing, and not sleeping as well. But I also figured that I would put somethings in this post that I forgot with the four month post. I always seem to forget to put these things in.
  • He is now a pro at holding his own head, and wants to be in the sitting straight up position most of the time.
  • He, up until this last week, was sleeping from about 11:00pm to 8:00 or 9:00am without waking up. It was HEAVEN!
  • He likes laying on the floor and playing with his toys for a certain amount time before he gets tired.
  • He will turn himself in a complete circle while on the floor.
  • He looks like he is really close to rolling over, especially from his back to his belly (yes I put that in right) but just won't do the last little bit that he needs to get completely over.
  • He smiles a lot and is starting to laugh a lot more.
Well that is all I can think of for now, as usual here are some pictures!

This is my proof of his tooth since I can't get a picture of the acutal tooth!

I promise this isn't the same picture as above

This one has nothing to do with his tooth, I just like it. He fell asleep on his floor last week as I was putting all of his toys away. I left him alone and he slept like this for about an hour!

Christmas!

So I am really late at posting, I had too many things too close together so I am getting futher and further behind. We had a wonderful Christmas and day after Christmas! Normally Jason makes us get up at like 5:00am but since he agreed that we didn't want a grumpy boy all day, we decided to just get up when Asher did, which was 7:00am. Only he just ate and then went back to sleep for an hour. :) So we were up opening presents at 8:00. Asher was really spoiled and got lots of toys and some new clothes. Jason and I both were spoiled also, and the dogs got some new toys, treats, and Shanyce got a much needed new collar. After presents we made the rounds, and had lunch a Jason's parents and dinnerish at mine. Then on Saturday night my family had their Christmas party at 6:00pm. The grandkids put on a nativity, and we just played games and visited. It was a fun couple of days, and a good first Christmas with our little boy! P.S. I forgot to post this originally but on the 23rd after we got home from Grandma Jorgenson's party, we were watching TV and Oso comes in from outside to hand me a toy to play with him. I look down to grab it from him and I notice that it is Shanyce's toy for Christmas that was wrapped and under the tree! So I look under the tree and ALL of the dog's presents were GONE! So I go outside and Oso had taken, just their presents, outside and unwrapped all of them! I was not very happy, but Jason thought it was hilarious, I eventually found it funny too, but we didn't put the dogs presents back under the tree until Christmas morning. The best part is that Oso only took his and Shanyce's despite the fact that there were other presents there. I was also impressed that he unwrapped them all by himself. He was also very funny on Christmas and had to check out every present that was opened after his treat was opened to see if it was for him. Silly dog!
Warning: Lots of pictures!
