*FoUrTh WeEkEnD!*

*FYI Three new post below!

We had such a fun Fourth of July weekend! I love the Fourth! (Jason not so much. Not that he isn't patriotic, he just isn't as social as me, and would rather stay home, or watch the fireworks as far away from all the people as possible!) But on the Fourth, I make him go. It's the only day out of the whole year that I really make him go out and be somewhat social with me. Our weekend started out by going to my family reunion on Saturday at the City Park in Roberts. It was so good to see some of my cousins that I only see at the reunion every year, and some that I haven't seen for a couple of years! Then we headed home, packed up the truck, and headed down to the Greenbelt for the IF Fireworks! We looked at booths, people watched, got some kettle corn and a snow cone, and played some games with Jason's sister Mindy and her husband Colton who came down to watch the fireworks with us! It was so much fun! Then on Sunday we went for a ride up pass Spencer, (to check out a spot to go camping this weekend!) Then that night we lit off our own fireworks that Jason had gotten us. Asher didn't seem to mind either display of fireworks, however he was a little grumpy from only taking ONE very short nap on Saturday! There was just too much to do and see to be bothered with naps! Then Monday, Asher and I headed out to Menan Days! (Jason had to work) We hung out with G-ma and G-pa Jackson for a little over an hour, saw Aunt Mindy, and lot of other friends and people that Jason and I went to school with. Then me and Ash headed home to meet Daddy and head out to G-ma and G-pa James' for a wiener roast. We ate some good food and visited, before heading back out to Menan for... MORE FIREWORKS! (Night Three!) We sat with my parents and Jaden, Julie, and their kids, and Julie's Mom, Step-dad Bruce, Ryan (Brother) and Stephanie (sister) and her son McKeon. We sat there until just before the show started, then we decided to take a very worn out, cold (yes, VERY cold) grumpy, tired little boy to the car so he didn't disrupt everyone else's time with him crying through the whole show. But it actually worked out really well. We just went back to our car and watched them from there. We could still see really well, and Asher ate and fell asleep. And because we were already in our car, we got out of there really fast! Such a fun (and tiring) weekend! Until next year, Fourth of July! I'll be waiting! (Jason not so much!)

Oso was on watch duty the whole night. He wouldn't eat or drink and every time a firework would go off (before the show) he would run and sit in front of Asher! Such a protective brother! (He did NOT like the fireworks this year)
