Birthday and Movement

So I know this is late but I haven't been able to find the cord for my camera so I can get my pictures off. Friday the 17th was my 23rd birthday! I love birthday's they are so much fun! Jason never has a hard time knowing my birthday is coming up because I start counting like two weeks before, although since my first birthday that we were together was on a Sunday, and we celebrated my birthday on Saturday, when you first ask him my birthday is the 16, but then he quickly corrects himself! :) But anyways back to the day itself. It actually kind of started Thursday night, Jason was going to play ball with some of the guys he works with, and so I would have something to do he gave me my present from "the dogs". Shanyce and Oso got me the Lego Indiana Jones game for the PS3. I love the Lego games, they are so much fun to do, we already have the Star Wars games, and I love playing it. I was surprised at how much harder the levels were then the Star Wars game. But anyways back to the birthday. So I played my game until Jason got home. By the time he had showered it was about 12:30AM, so technically my birthday! Jason is such a big kid and can never wait to give me my present (Christmas is the ONLY exception!), so he gave it to me before we went to bed. Even though I had told him not to get me anything, since we have just moved and got all new carpet and paint, he didn't listen and got me a hard drive! I have been wanting one for a long time. I'm always scared that our computer is going to crash and we are going to lose all of the pictures that I have on it. So it was the perfect gift! Thanks Babe! That night my Mom and Dad took us out to eat at Texas Road House. I LOVE their rolls. It was a fun time and really good food. Thanks Mom and Dad! Then to end the birthday weekend, on Sunday we went for a ride to Jackson Hole. The town was pretty much closed down, but it was still a pretty drive. We laughed about the fact that we drove all that way to eat at a place that we have in IF (Bubba's) and the only other stop we made was at Kmart (also in IF) to get some snacks for the ride home, But we still had fun and enjoyed the time together. Now on to other news. I am way behind in posting this but I have felt the baby move. I started feeling it at about 16 and half weeks. It is pretty fun and very reassuring when you feel it moving around. We still have our ultrasound appointment this Thursday, so I will update again when I know more!

This is at Palisades dam. The picture is a little crooked, because it was sitting on the hood of our car.

Another of Palisades.

Shanyce eating her piece of birthday cake. It was an ice cream cake and the different colors on top would dye Shanyce's beard. Her beard was pink and green, I tried to get a picture but you couldn't see it.

Oso was such a pig that by the time I got the camera out, he had already eaten his piece.

Here you go Krey, this is a picture of the front of our house, just for you. :)

You gotta love Idaho weather!

So a couple of weeks ago it was 65 degrees with no snow. On Sunday we had a mini blizzard, but it has since melted. The last couple of days it has snowed on and off but not too bad and not for too long, and has always melted before the end of the day. But today it has been snowing hard and non stop since about 6:30 this morning. I am so ready for spring but feel like I should be singing Christmas carols and decorating a tree. Oh well I guess there is nothing I can do about it. I also had my regular doctor's appointment yesterday, they said everything is good, I did lose a pound from my last visit but nothing worrisome, especially since we have been moving and doing a lot. But we did make an appointment for the 30th for the complete ultrasound, where, hopefully, we get to find out what we are having! Yea!

Moving Day Part Two

We moved, again. On Friday March 27th exactly one month from to the day that we moved from our old house on 20th Street, we moved into our new/old house on Carmel. We actually didn't close on our old house until the 17th of March but we let Manda and Billy move in on the original close date so that they didn't have to move twice like we did. We closed on the Carmel Dr house on the 26, but weren't expecting to get the keys until Friday, but after we had closed and eaten lunch, we were heading back to Jason's work and our realtor called and said they were completely moved out and had the keys for us, so we went back and got the keys. Jason called in and took the rest of the day off. We went and got carpet samples, and painting supplies (you'll see why) and waited for the call that it was all processed. Then we went to house and started taping. We were there until we ran out of tape. Then we headed out to mom and dad's for the night. Friday the 27 we started moving in. We also got the carpet ordered and started painting. Thanks to Jason's parents, sister's, and their husbands for all the help painting and moving everything out of the storage bay. We painted Friday night and most of the day Saturday, it was a big job but thanks to the help it went by pretty fast. We only painted the rooms that had carpet in them so we could get them done before the new carpet came. Monday the 30th Jason tore out the old carpet and took it to the dump. It actually didn't take as long as we thought it was going to. Shanyce has had a really hard time again with the move. Then she got even worse after the carpet was gone. We started calling her Eeyore then Jason changed it to "little Eeyorea". She has gotten better since the carpet came and we moved in more stuff. Then on April 1st, no joke, our new carpet got laid. I was so excited to watch it come in. It was hard to watch as they put them pad in with so many staples, that had taken us hours to pull out, but it was worth it. I had the dogs outside when the carpet layers first got to our house but a couple of hours later it started snowing, so me and the dogs went downstairs for the remainder of the time. It took them five hours but it was worth it. That night my mom and dad and brother Jaden, and Jason's dad came down and helped us move everything from our garage into the house. It was so nice to sleep on our bed with the frame. We had been sleeping downstairs in one of the bedrooms with our mattress on the floor until we got the carpet upstairs. The downstairs is unfinished except for the two bedrooms and the bathroom. So I have been busy unpacking and trying to find a place for everything. But it's OK, because I really like our new house, and even more so with the paint and carpet that we got to pick, it feels even more so like it's OUR house. Well that's it for now, Thanks again to all who helped and mom and dad for letting us live with you for a month!

Moving Day

Jason's sister Amanda and her husband Billy bought our house that was for sale so we moved out on the 27th of February, and since the house that we are buying isn't closing until the end of this month or the first of April (the owners live in Oregon and can't come up until then to the all of the junk, and I mean a lot of junk, out of the house until then). So in the mean time we are staying with my parents until we can move into our new house. It was a really hard move for everyone. It was Jason and my's first house together, and it was the only house the dogs have lived in. Shanyce has been taking it the hardest, she has been very mopy and sad, especially when she saw all of her things being taken out of the house. She starts shaking everytime we go to the storage bay. The night we left her and Oso layed down where their chair used to be and wouldn't leave. We had to practally drag them out of the house. It was sad and wasn't helping me any since I was already having a hard time leaving myself. But we all managed to make it to the car and out to mom and dad's by about 11:00pm.

BaBy TiMe!

That's right, we're having a baby! We are very excited even though it still hasn't sunk in all the way yet. We are due the first part of September and can't wait. I will be 14 weeks tomorrow. This kind of explains why I'm so behind. I had the flu on top of being pregnant for a couple of weeks in January plus I was really busy at work so I got really behind in blogging. Another reason why I'm so far behind is that we sold our house and were busy moving, but I'll post more on that with pictures in the next post. So anyways that is our good news!

Vegas!

Jason's work made him take a week off of work (it was a week that he had to carry over from last year, so he had to take it or lose it), so we decided to go to Vegas for a week. Our flight left on Monday February 16th at 6:00 at night. We left our dogs with my parents and my dad drove back down to the airport with us and brought our car back. Such a nice dad. By the time we got to our hotel, Excalibur, it was 9:00pm so we just stayed in for the night. the next day we decided to go shopping. We went to an outside mall and Jason got some good deals at Old Navy but that was the only place that had any. So then we went to an outlet mall, the deals there were even worse than the regular mall! So we finally gave up on shopping and decided to go back to the Excalibur (the hotel that we stayed at). Then that night we walked through some of the casinos and down the strip to the M&M factory. Then on Wednesday we decided to go to Hoover Dam. We took a tour of the power plant. I hadn't been there for quite a while and Jason had never been there so it was pretty fun. Then we just bummed around our hotel for a while, and later that night we went to The Tournament of Kings. It was a dinner show that was at our hotel. It was really fun, you had to eat dinner with your hands, and while you were eating they had a whole show going on about King Arther and different knights from certain countries. Our knight was Ireland. He didn't win but it was still really fun to watch. On Thursday we head downtown to Fremont Street for more shopping, That night we ate at Hard Rock Cafe and then went to Planet Hollywood and parked our car so we could make it further down the strip. We made it as far as the Mirage before we turned around and headed back to car, but we did hit the Mirage about the time that they were doing the Volcano show, so we stayed and watched the show before we went back to our car, and the hotel for the night. Jason said that Vegas was not our town, we were in our by 9:00 by the latest every night! Most nights as we were getting ready to go back to our hotel we would stop and get small ice cream (we had a Cold Stone in our hotel) to share, or some other kind of treat (there was also a Krispy Kreme in Excalibur). Then on Friday we went and ate brunch and then had to head back to the airport to return our rental car and to wait for our flight back to cold old Idaho Falls. When we got back to Idaho my dad came and picked us back up. It was a fun trip but we were sure glad to home again.

Valentines!

Well I know this is really late but, better late than never, right? On Valentines Day we opted to go out for lunch instead of trying to beat the crowds for dinner. We decided to go to the Olive Garden. It was so good! We both really like eating there, and since we haven't for a while it seemed like the perfect place to go. After eating lunch we ended up just going home to pack for our trip to Vegas, more on that later.
