MRI

Back in July, on the 21, Asher had an MRI of his back they wanted to check it again, even though they did an ultrasound of it when he was first born, they said that they needed to do an MRI now that he was bigger. Just to make sure that there wasn't any nerves or anything caught up in it that would start getting pulled as he gets taller. We had to be at the hospital at like 6:30 in the morning to get all checked in, and they took him down for his MRI at 8:30.

 His blue teddy bear that the nurse gave him. He now has a red one and a blue (both from EIRMC, the red one he got last year when he went for his cardiology appt.)

 Watching TV with Dad and his teddy. When they finally took him down, they let us go down with him to say "good-bye" and I even got to ride on the bed so that Asher would too! They put him completely under for the procedure, but before we left to go down they gave him something to make him drowsy, (to make putting an IV and getting him hooked up easier) and by the time we got down to the room, he could hardly keep his head up. He was really funny to watch because he was trying so hard to stay awake, but everything was working against him! After they took him, Jason and I went and got some breakfast, and then headed back to the waiting room until they came and got us. Then we just had to wait until he woke up, and we could take him home.

 We spent the rest of they just chillin' at home. They told us to keep a close eye on him because he would still be kind of groggy for the rest of the day, so we didn't do anything to exciting.

And I played with Ash. So glad that it's over, and results were good, we had to wait like two week after the actual appointment to get the full results back, but they said there wasn't any problems with the hemiangioma being connected to anything.  They did find that his kidneys sit weird (kind of like his heart does, more on the right side of  his body and tipped to right) but Urology said that as long as they aren't causing him any problems (i.e. having trouble going to the bathroom) there is no need to do anything about them. Poor kid, all his inner-eds are messed up. But we were just so glad to have it be pretty good news, and have nothing that needing fixed! On a side note, he was such a good boy the whole time, and I am so proud of him and how well he did, and does with all his doctor appointments.
