Get A Way!

Jason had some time from last year that he needed to use. So as soon as his class was over he took some time off, and instead of staying home the whole time we decided to get away for the night. We went up to West Yellowstone for the night and stayed in the time share. We swam, ate some pizza, and watched a movie. The next day we got up went to breakfast, (got me a new Bear) and came home. It was a very short trip, but still a lot of fun to get away. The hot tub was AWESOME! It was the first time since before I was pregnant with Asher that I have been in one!

All ready to go get some pizza
 Let's go
There was SO MUCH snow still
My camera was being weird, but Asher is giving Daddy kisses
 And a hug!
There, finally got my camera figured out. They are playing "Angry Birds" while we wait for our pizza
Watching a movie!

What We've Been Up To

I have a lot of random pictures that I still wanted to put on here so here goes
 Eating a banana muffin
He has to have his very own
He loves wearing Mom's necklaces, and I'm not sure about the biscuit in the measuring cup
 Just watching TV
 Wearing one of Dad's beanies
Oso and Shanyce use Asher's bed more than he does!
Shanyce likes to hibernate in the winter
 Watching TV with Dad
This is a bag from Victoria Secrets. Asher wore it as a hat forever, but wouldn't sit still long enough for a picture
This was the best I could get. Silly boy!
He looks so much older when he wears a hat! Also notice the lip? He was "helping" me mop, and decided to try and run with mop. He ended up slipping on the floor and face met mop handle right as mop meet floor. His lip was pretty beat up, and it was all bruised on the inside too! Poor guy! But it didn't seem to bother him when he ate which was good.
Asher decided that he needed to dress himself. A dirty PJ shirt, shorts, shoes with no socks, and his hat. He was ready to go out for a night on the town!

18 Months!

So even though Asher is now 19 months (close to 20! yikes!) I am going to do a 18-now month post about things he is or has done. I haven't done one of these in a while so I figured I needed to.

  • He will say "Two, Two, Three" instead of one, two, three. And says it before he throws/shoots the ball, or whatever else is in his hands.
  • He love music, and dancing. Proof that he is my kid!
  • He loves Dad's (and Mom's) phone. and loves to carry them around and listen to music. He also loves playing "Angry Birds" on Dad's phone
  • He has gone back to signing, and will sign "more" and "please" and "all done/gone". Even though his more looks more like a "time-out" and his please looks more like the sign for "bath" and all done is just to hold both arms out at his sides.
  • If you tell him to say "bye-bye" to the dogs, he blows them a kiss, (he will only blow kisses to the dogs) wave "bye" and then use hand hand to help you blow the dogs kisses too!
  • He loves his baths, especially if it's a bubble bath
  • He now goes to nursery, but only stays if Mom does too
  • He loved to play basketball, and clap after he "shoots". He also has to make sure everyone else claps too!
  • He still LOVES being outside, and even if it isn't the warmest, still wants to be outside as much and I will let him, and cries when it's time to come in
  • Him and Shanyce are getting on better terms, and he loves to give her and Oso "loves" or he touches his forehead to theirs
  • He is starting to "talk" more, and is always coming in and telling me something in jibberish
  • He loves playing hide-and-seek, especially in his closet
  • He waves bye-bye by opening and closing his finger together
  • He is a little dare-devil and doesn't always think things through before he does something. As a result he usually has a few "owies" especially on his head
  • He throws tantrums now when he doesn't get what he wants by flinging himself on the floor, it's quite entertaining to watch
  • He gives the best hugs, and now gives great kisses too. But only to Mom and Dad. And even then I can't always get one, but Jason seems to get one whenever he wants. :P
  • He is pretty much down to one nap a day! Yay! It defiantly makes running errands easier!
  • He will use just about anything as a phone
  • He loves to pretend drive, and we sometimes have meltdowns when he wants to drive and we actually have to go somewhere so he can't. He also has to open and close the garage door whenever we go anywhere
  • He loves playing Lego Indiana Jones on the PS3 and can bring up the game himself, once you click on the game on the main screen.
That is all I can think of for now. Happy 18 (or 19) month birthday, Baby! I love you so much!

Hello?

Bella

Macy- So I have decided we must be stray animal magnets. Back in 2008 at our old house, we were out front doing some yard work when we saw a dog coming down the road. She looked lost, and was acting really funny. We got her some water, and she acted like she hadn't drank in a long time. She was pretty tame though, and you could tell that at one point she had been someone's pet. However she was also kind of skiddish, like she had been beat. Anyways we ended up taking her to our backyard so we could try and find her owers. We put up flyers, and everything. No one claimed her. I hate the thought of taking them to the shelter so we kept her for almost a week before finding someone who would talk her. (She was just too big for our little house) She was such a sweetheart though, and I have always felt bad that the people we ended giving her to, didn't keep her. I have always felt guilty about that. Side note- We kept almost calling her Macy, and the couple we originally gave her too, named her Macy.
She was a very sweet girl
Just chillin' with Shanyce (We didn't have Oso yet)
But back to now.
Bella- We were at Wal Mart one Saturday. I had gone in by myself because Asher was sleeping. When I came out there was a guy with a little puppy in cart. She was so cute I couldn't help but to ask if I could pet her. Then guy then told me that he had just found he in the parking lot. They had sent an annoucement through the store but no one would claim her. They were not from here and were just passing through, and didn't know what to do with her. Long story short, we ended up taking her over to Pet's Mart where the humane society was. Only they wouldn't take her because they had no way of knowing if she had had her shots, and didn't want to risk getting the rest of the animals they had sick. So we ended up bringing her home, and between us and Jason's sister Manda, and her husband Billy, (She's as big of a sucker when it comes to animals as I am! Thanks again guys!) We traded off keeping her until Manda and Billy found a home for her. We both really fell in love with this little girl, and were very dissapointed that neither of us had room for her. But I'm really glad she was able to find a home, and her new family even had kids! Side note- I had wanted to keep calling her "Bella" but was determind not too, because I didn't want to get more attached. Then I found out that the little girl in family ended up naming her "Bella". Coincidence?
How could anyone dump such a sweet, cute little girl?
 Jason and the puppy chillin'
She was such a good girl and I only had to get after her a couple of times before she would go outside by herself when she needed to
 Such a sweet face
She liked sleeping here a lot
 She loved playing with Oso
Asher thought she was really cool, except when she scratch him  or nibble on his ear :)
Shanyce didn't like her very much, and would basically just hide down in our bedroom whenever she was here
Ranger- Then not long after we had Bella, I'm talking 1-2 weeks later. We had been playing down in Asher's room one night. When we came out Jason was in the kitchen and said, he thought there was a dog in our yard. I'm thinking "Yea, right" but I go to check anyways, and sure enough, there is a little Jack Russel terrier in our yard. He still had on a chain, and it was wrapped around one of our taller sprinkler heads. We got him untangled and then tried to go for a ride to find his home (or hopefully, just someone just looking for him) nothing. We went back home and then me and the dog went for a walk. After about a half and hour, we were both cold and tired so I decided to let come home for the night. The next day I had called my mom, and she had told me that a couple of days earlier, she had seen a lost ad in the paper with a number. The one seemed to fit the dog so I called. After a couple of hours they called back, it WAS her dog! (He kept breaking his chain, and getting loose. I was lucky that mom had seen the ad. It was actually when she was checking to see if Bella had someone looking for her!) So at least one of our stray stories had a happy reunion. But I hope we don't have another stray story ever, or at least for quite a while. Side note- I'm still not sure how Ranger got into our yard, and I have kept his owners number, just in case! Another side note-When we were coming back from our walk, we were passing our neighbors house, and their little girl who is about 2 is outside with no pants on, her older sister's shoes, no coat, and is with her little puppy. So I get her and the dog, and go up to open door and call inside. I finally get one of the little girls and ask her to get one of her parents. While she is gone one of the older girls comes to the door, and I give her the dog right as the dad comes in. I tell him how I found her, and he goes bright red. He says they have won the parents of the year award and thanks me. I thought it was rather funny, and am just glad that I was able there when I was so she didn't get into too much trouble or her or the puppy hurt.

Valentine's Day (and REALLY sick)

We kept our Valentine's Day pretty low key this year. I made some Chicken Bacon Alfredo (well I heated up some that I had already made and froze!), bread sticks, and cupcakes and we even made Daddy some homemade Valentines. Asher was being very clingy all day, and i didn't know why. I finally got him to take a nap, and he slept FOREVER (well for him) and didn't even wake up when my parent stopped by on their way home to drop off his valentines. And that was with the dogs barking and going crazy. I thought that was really weird, but just figured he was just really tired. Dad came home and we ate (after having to wake Asher up). We had our dessert and watched our traditional show "Hitch". (That was the movie Jason and I went to on our first Valentine's, and he bought it for me for our next one. We watch it every year!(:  ). Then we went to bed. That was that. Or so I thought. Asher woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. He continued to throw up about every couple of hours for the rest of the night. We spent most of the rest of the night/morning out on the couch, because we were out of sheets for all beds at this point. He continued to be sick and throwing up for the next few days (We ended up sleeping out on the futon mattress in the living room until he was all better). Poor boy. It took him a while to get over it, and it has really be the first time he has really been SICK. I'm just glad it didn't last forever.

Cuddling with Dad on Valentine's, after Daddy got home (Asher was STILL sleeping)
Eating his cupcake after he finally woke up
 Frosting face
And this is how he spent most of the next few days. Naked. I hated getting him dressed because as soon as I did, he would throw up. So after about the first hour, he spent most of the rest of the time just in his diaper.
This is a shower thing that broke from our hall bathroom. Asher loves to pretend it's a phone as more evidenced from the picture above. I'm so glad you're better baby!

Super Bowl Sunday

So I am so far behind it isn't even funny. But I am going to try and get caught up, and back to keeping up with my blog. So I'm starting (kind of ) where I left off, and am going to try to at least get the big ones done. Every year for the Super Bowl, we go to my brother and SIL's house. We eat lots of good food, watch the game and commercials (not necessarily in that order), and visit. But this year was a really big deal. You see my brother is a HUGE, Green Bay fan. I'm talking, one day he wants his office to be completely decked out in GB. Carpet, walls, everything! (I actually have another brother who is also a big GB fan, but he lives in Oregon, so he didn't get to be there.) We had lots of fun and Asher even got to wear the "Cheese Head" hat. (Me and Asher did have to leave for a while and go over to my parents house in order for Asher to take a nap. There was just too much going on to sleep, and he really needed to!) It made it even better that GB won. My brother's were ecstatic!
