~SiX MoNtHs~

My baby is SIX MONTHS OLD! I can't beleive it! Another six months and he'll be a YEAR! Time just needs to stop for a while. But I don't think it's going to, so here are the stats: Weight-14lbs 11oz, Height-26in, and Head Circumference-16.75.  He is, as always, a little on the small side, but growing great! Here are some facts about my six month old:

-He is no longer sleeping in his own room. After a week of him waking about every two hours, he move back to our room. But he now has his crib, so I think next weekend we'll try again :)
- He wakes about 1-2 times a night but will go back to sleep almost immediatly if he gets to nurse. He will only nurse for less than 5 minutes then he's back asleep, now we just need him to go back to sleep without the nursing part
-He is pretty close to sitting on his own, he still just a little unsteady
-He gets OT (occupational therapy) once a week through the Infant Toddler Program, not because he is behind, because he's not, but he has the potential to get behind, so they are making sure he stays on track
-He loves playing with his dad, and always has a big smile for him when he gets home
-He "talks" a ton, laughs a lot, and has even started to "sing" when we are in the car. That's my favorite part!
-He thinks his puppys are the funniest, and even laughs when they just sneeze
-He loves getting kisses from Oso, and encourages him to do so while we are trying to DIScourage him.
-He gets super excited when he sees: his puppies, especially Shanyce, the remote or phone, or my water bottle
-He is a BIG people person. He especially loves the girls, and always has a big smile for everyone
-He still only has two teeth, but is in the process of getting more
-He likes his cerel, frosting, and water after it has been in his mouth for a couple seconds
-He LOVES his bouncer, and can get it going pretty high, I think he is going to give himself whiplash :) The butterfly and parrot on it are his favorites, with the lizzard taking a close second
-He likes to "cook" and is always "helping" mommy with dinner or whatever else she may be doing
-He is almost done with his Synagise shot that he gets monthly, (his last one is in two weeks)
-For the most part he is a really good, and happy baby
We love you baby!

Such a funny guy! This is him starting to smile, but it just looks like he is way chubby!

Valentines

So this is over a week late, but our computer quit. But thanks to Devin, a guy Jason works with, it's back up and running, and we still basically have all of our "stuff". Thank you Devin! On to Valentines. We didn't really do a whole lot this year but it was still a good Valentines, I made the boys each a tie fleece basketball blanket (thanks for your help, and letting me get them done at you house so Jason didn't find them Mom!). This year instead of flowers, Jason got me a bamboo plant that makes a heart shape, it is so beautiful, now I just hope I don't kill it! According to the directions it is minimal care, but if there is a way, I would be the one to find it!

Happy Valentines Day!

Refinished

Last year my mom and dad got new bedroom furniture, so they gave us one of their old dressers. It was actually my Grandma Betty's, but it was a blueish green color, and it didn't really go with our room, and we didn't really like the color, so this last summer we sanded it down and striped it. Then it has just been sitting in our basement unfinished until last week when we finally stained it. And I just have to say, I LOVE IT! It was like finishing two projects because, since we got our new dresser, Asher got our old one and now I have plently of room to put all of his clothes away which helps keep his room cleaner! Well anyways here are some pic's.

The drawer on the left is before it's been stained.
I didn't get any pictures of the blueish green color though.

The finished product!
I still think I will spray paint the handles but that can wait 'till I can do it outside!
It only took a year to get done!

Cookies!

A couple of weeks ago we decided that we wanted some "homemade" oreos, and since I still cannot eat chocolate, (thanks to a little boy with a sensitive stomache) we made them with yellow cake mix instead of chocolate, but they were still pretty good.

Asher "helped" me make the cookies and frosting.
(Jason told me to hurry and look, while Asher was so my hair is still moving)

Jason giving Asher some blue frosting. He really liked it and acutally slept really well that night. Maybe we should give him frosting every night :)

Asher and his spoon that he "helps" cook with. And his blue frosting mustashe.

Then the next week we played some card games and Asher "helped" then too.
He must be pretty good, I only lost one game to Jason!

Cuddling with Daddy and Shanyce after the game.

OnE YeAr AgO!

One year ago today we got to see our little boy for the first time! There wasn't much to see, but it was proof he was there. We love you so much Asher, and can't imagine life without you!

Videos!

Here is the video of Asher rolling over. Now the only problem is that he hates being on his stomach, but whenever you put him on his back he immediately rolls onto his stomach, and then gets very mad.

Asher playing in the tub at bear lake. He did swallow a little water and choked at the end of the clip but was fine. And he still had lots of fun!

Here are a few thing about my five month old:

-Just before he turned five months he weighed 13 lbs 3 oz

-He has two teeth

-He loves his daddy very much. They're best friends

-He can roll over from his back to his belly

-He prefers being in the big bath tub with either mom or dad, rather than in his little tub alone

-He now sleeps in his own room, and wakes up once, between 5-6am then is up for the day between 8-9

-He loves being in his jumperoo, or bumbo. In other words, independent, for a little while each day

I love you, Asher!

Picture Overload!
So Asher has done so many things this last week that I thought I would just do one big post with all of his accomplishments of the last little while. First of all I finally got a picture of tooth, then on Monday when we got to Bear Lake we found another one! So he now has two teeth. Then on Thursday he turned five months! Wow! One more month and he will be half a year old! That night he sleep in his own room for the first time and has slept there ever since. We probably could have moved him sooner, but I was having a hard time with it. In fact, his cradle is still in our room, just in case. ;) We actually still don't have a crib, so he is sleeping in his playpen, but hopefully he will have a crib soon! Then on Saturday he had his first run in with cereal. He did NOT like it! He started crying the minute we put him in his high chair and didn't really stop until we got him out! Then his biggest accomplishment of the week. Sunday night he ROLLED OVER! Jason was home teaching, and I had layed Asher on his back on his play mat, when I came back he was on his stomach! He did it one more time before we actually saw it. Then I ended up taking 12 video clips of him ALMOST rolling over before he actually did it for us to see. Also on Sunday he decided that since the guy on the stand was talking he should be too. He talked for a good part of the end of Sacrament. Very loudly. My little boy grew up a lot all in a weeks time, I'm glad he is growing so good but it is a little bittersweet, he's more of a big boy than my little baby.

His first day in the jumperoo that Stephanie and McKeon gave us! He loves it! Thanks Steph!

I realized that I haven't put any pictures of the dogs on here lately, but they are still here and kickin' it. Mosty they just sleep, eat, and play. Sounds kind of like a little boy I know:)

I also don't put many pictures of me and Asher on here but that is because I am usually taking the pictures, but here is one of me and my little/big boy
