First Camping Trip

Aadynn got to go on her first camping trip (just a day trip) a little over a week after she was born. We didn't end up doing much because it was either, pouring rain, snowing, or the wind was blowing so hard you thought it would tip over the trailer! We only went up for the day because our trailer still needs some work done before we can take it out, and Aadynn was only a weekish old. But we got to visit with cousins, aunts, and uncles, play some games, watch a movie, Dad went for a ride, and Asher even got to play outside for a little right before we left! Hopefully next time we go, the weather cooperates a little better!

Birth Story

So here is Aadynn's birth story. When I went in for my 38 week appointment I was still only dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced. After they had put me on couch rest, it really slowed down my contractions, and they weren't picking back up, so my doctor asked me if I wanted to be induced the next the week. I told her I would think about it, and of course by the next day, I called in to say yes. I hadn't wanted to be on pitocin again, and was really nervous about having her actually here, but I just couldn't stand being pregnant any longer. So a little before 5 on Wednesday the 16th I called in to make sure they had enough room. The told me they did, and to be there at 7. I got so nervous and emotional that I almost didn't get Jason up to go. I cried while I was getting ready. I just wasn't sure I was ready for everything to change, and I didn't want to leave my boy. but my mom got to our house at 6:30 so there was no going back. We packed everything up, kissed our boy goo-bye and headed for the hospital. The day before Asher and I had talked all day about how baby sister was coming tomorrow, and that Grandma Jackson was coming to have a slumber party with him so he would know what was going on.
Anyways we got to hospital and by 9:00 we were completely checked in, with my IV done and everything. Right after they got my IV in, my doctor came in and asked if she could break my water. So we got that done and got rolling.....About 1:00 ( I think, I don't really remember) is when I  finally asked for my epidural, and anesthesia came in at about 1:45. My nurse, DeAnn, came in to check me at 2:00 and I was still only a 4. :( They were having trouble getting the same area covered that they did last time, (the left side of my stomach, and top of my left leg) so they had they had me lay on my left side while they gave me a bolus. It started slowly working, then I noticed it was starting to work up higher on my torso. By the time I called the nurse back in, I was having a hard time breathing and felt like I needed to cough, but couldn't. I was numb all the way up to my armpits, and my right leg was so numb I couldn't even help move it. But my left side was finally numb enough I could hardly feel the contractions there. But they had me sit clear up and gave me some 02 and I was finally starting to be able to breathe again, when my left side started un-numbing again. So I rolled over and laid back a little, when my nurse came in, she wanted to check me. She did and said we were ready to go! She went to call my doctor, and start setting up. While she was setting up I could feel her coming down lower and told DeAnn. She came over to check again, and said I'll go call you doctor again. When she came back she said my doctor was in the hallway and she didn't think that my doctor thought she was serious as to how fast Aadynn was coming. We finally got everyone in the room and four pushes later Aadynn was here! This delivery was SOOOOOO much easier than last time and a completely different experience. We got to see her right away and I got to her for almost an hour before they even took her to be weighed because she was cold. We called my mom about an hour after she was born so she could bring Asher over to meet her first. He got his present from her (his motorcycles), but didn't want much to do with her. Jason's parents also came that night, as did my brother Krey and his wife Brandi. I was surprised that Asher left without any objection, when my mom said it was time to go, he came and gave us both kisses and left. She said he did a really good job, and only whined a little when it was time for bed. The next day my dad came down and Jason's sister Mindy and her husband Colton and son Bentley came to visit. Mom and Asher came again, and then Jason and Asher went home to let the dogs out, and I showered while Mom watched Aadynn. We ended up going home that day, but we had to wait until at least 4:30 (the babies have to stay in the hospital for at least 24 hours after they are born) so we decided to wait until we had our stork dinner before leaving. Then besides having to go back when we were about 3 miles away, because they didn't give us a copy of her discharge instructions, we just went home and spent the rest of the night relaxing!
 Playing while we wait
The first time he really paid attention to her.
He loved playing with her knees at first
When we got home, he actually asked to hold her. We hadn't even tried to get him to yet because we didn't think he would.
 He loved holding her
Her feet are the best part

She's Here!

Introducing........Aadynn Aliece James. Born on May 16th at 4:18. 7lbs 12oz and 21inches long. She doesn't look like Asher did as a baby and I'm still not completely sure who she looks the most like. I think she's kind of  a mix of me and Jason. Jason says she looks like me. We'll see as she gets older if she changes her looks or not. Right now she is just plain beautiful! I'll write up the whole birth story later, but here are some pictures of our sweet little girl!

She is such a sweetheart, and we are so glad she's here! More info to come later!

Baby Bump

This is about the only picture of me pregnant this time (I mean other than the ones I'm accidently in, like Easter). I decided I'd better get at least one of my baby bump this time around. I am defiantly bigger this time then I was with Asher, and a lot lower which makes it so my clothes don't fit as well as last time. My stomach pushes my pants down, and then my shirts are too short. but I only have a few more days! They are inducing me on Wednesday, and I would be lying if I said I didn't have mixed feelings about it. I am so beyond ready to not be pregnant, I have been for months, really since about two months. But at the same time not ready for the baby to be here, and to have two kids to take care of. But it has to come sooner or later, so why not right? I think the reason my doctor is willing to induce is because I will be 39 weeks, and my contractions have slowed way down since they put me on couch rest, and aren't seeming to want to pick up anytime soon. So here in a couple of days we will have a new baby, ready or not!

My Boy

I wanted to put up some pictures of my boy recently. I am so worried about how I'm going to balance two kids and how Asher is going to react to the baby, so I'm trying to give him as much one on one attention as I can while I can. Granted that is not the easiest, because all he wants to do is wrestle and run, and at this point I'm getting a little too large to do either. So we spend a lot of time playing on the floor, and watching a lot of Netflix (Kick Buttowski to be more specific). Anyways, here are some pictures of boy doing what he does best. Playing.
His "Kick" stance...at least part of it. He does it so fast that I've had a hard time getting a picture.
Playing in baby sister's crib, with her giraffe

Pretending to take a nap in the crib. I think he has played in the crib more since we put it in her room then he did when it was in his!
 Just talking on the phone
(Don't mind the mess) This is another "Kick' thing. He loves to put on Dad's gloves, shoes, and hat before he does the stance. (both hands above his head, and pointer fingers pointing up)
Playing in his fort. All the blankets from the going to the drive-in last night (we went to Avengers for Mothers Day, it was awesome!)
I love you so much baby, know that that isn't going to change when the baby gets here. I will miss all our one on one time, but hopefully we'll be able to make some new fun memories with the baby, and hopefully soon I'll be able to run and wrestle with you again!

New Toy...

At least for Jason and Asher! Jason got a new pressure washer for things like cleaning the house, cars, and his bike (mostly the bike), and Asher thinks that it is the coolest. thing. EVER. Which usually results in some fights and some crying whenever Jason gets it out. So far we haven't reached WWIII status, but it has come close a couple of times :).

He loves "cleaning" of the patio

And of course his four-wheeler!

Couch Potato

So if you're wondering where my sudden burst of posting came from, it's because I have been told I have to be a "couch potato" for at least a week, by my doctor. I'm not on bed rest, but they don't want me doing much, for at least another week. I went to my appointment yesterday and I was dilated to a 2 and 60% effaced. And since I'm just barely 36 weeks and my doctor isn't around this weekend, they want me to take it really easy until at least next week. The good new is that I'm finally caught up on here! The bad news is this is only day two, and I'm getting really bored and Asher is getting really tired of Mommy not running around playing with him. (sigh)  Not only that but I still have my list of things to get done, that aren't getting done, and since they said that there is a good chance of me having the baby next week, I'm starting to freak out a little. I'm so not ready for two kids, but it sounds like I don't have much of a choice! Apparently at about 37 weeks my body says "you're done". (That's how far along I was when Asher was born too) So here's hoping I can remain good and make it to at least next week!
