This year we spent New Year's at my parent's house. My brother and his family came over from Oregon, and my other brother that lives right behind my parents and his family were there too (well his wife had to leave at 8:00 to go to work : ( but him and the kids were there the whole time) We played some games, ate some food, and visited.

So the night before New Year's Eve we were out watching TV and Asher didn't want to go to sleep, so after fighting with him for like an hour I gave up and he was just out watching TV with us. Well at about 11:30 Jason and I decided that we were ready for bed and Jason headed down the hall. Asher is about half asleep at this point but decides to head after Jason. I'm not sure exactly what happened next, but I heard a loud noise followed crying, I look up and Asher is on all four on the ground by the corner of our wall. I thought he had just banged his head a little, and no big deal. Well Jason got to him first and held him up, I arrived just seconds later to see blood start gushing from his head. I grab him tilt him back and head for the bathroom, I tell Jason I something for his head paper towels, a rag, anything. I rush to the bathroom and start trying to wash away the blood so I can see how bad it is. (Asher is still screaming). Finally I get enough blood out of the way and can see how deep the cut is. I can see skull. Jason finally comes walking down the hall with a washcloth (very slowly, he hasn't realized, what I have, the cut is deep and needs stitches) I tell him that we have to go, and he says "Why?" "Because he needs stitches!" "Are you sure?" (I have a hard time convincing him that my schooling was not wasted, and yes I do know when a person needs stitches, I had the same problem when he needed stitches a few years back.) But finally, kind of reluctantly on Jason part, and very slowly, he gets dressed and starts the car. I hand him Asher and throw on a pair of jeans, sweatshirt, and some shoes, and we are out the door. I didn't dare put him in his seat because I was still needing to put pressure on the wound or it would start bleeding again. We finally arrive at RediCare by the hospital (It's the only one, besides the ER that's open 24/7. They see me coming in with my screaming boy and take us straight back. They confirm to Jason, that yes he will need stitches, and put on the lead stuff to numb him up. While we are waiting Asher finally falls asleep, so the NP is hoping to get stitches in while he sleeps but as soon as the needle touches his head he wakes up screaming again. They quickly give him more numbing and then put in three stitches. (He originally wanted four, but Asher thought three was more than enough) We finally got home at about 1:30 (two hours after the ordeal started) and Asher slept fine. He actually never acted like they hurt after we got home and never really bugged them at all. I gave him a little Tylenol for a couple of days, but he didn't seem to need it so I stopped after just a couple of days. He is such a tough boy, and even slept the entire time I took them out 10 days later! Well here is his first and I'm sure not his last battle wound.

He only left the bandage on while he slept that night, it was off first thing the next morning

Christmas was pretty much the same as always, lots of Christmas Parties, food, family, and presents. We went to Jason's parent's party on Christmas Eve, but stayed home that night like always, and went visiting my parent's on Christmas Day. But I think the best way to describe Christmas is in pictures so here goes: (I'm still waiting for pictures from Christmas Eve from Mindy, ahem(: )
Opening his Christmas Jammer's
Holding them up
  And trying them on
Our living room Christmas morning, (After Santa had come)
My baby still asleep at 9:00 Christmas morning
After we Jason had woken him up
Helping Shanyce and Oso open their presents
The dogs waiting for their treats
Opening his big present from Santa

He was really good about opening for about one and half presents
 Opening one of my presents
I know this is blurry, but this is after Asher found his M&M's, and then that was all he wanted
 Still has the M&M's
Seeing what other goodies are in his stocking
He finally just dumped most of it out
 Helping dad with another present
I love this picture! It looks like he's getting ready to blow a kiss, but really he is eating a M&M that dad FINALLY got out for him!
Checking out his new MP3 player (yes he is not even a year and a half and has his own, small, MP3 player with just his songs on it, and it has a built in speaker so he doesn't need headphones)
Mad because dad took away his MP3 player to charge it and put some songs on it
 Finally got it back
 Watching "Bolt" with daddy
Stealing a drink from someone's Mountain Dew at Jaden and Julies
Well as you can see by the small amount of pictures I put on here this kid was more than spoiled! Let's see if I can remember what all he got: A b-ball hoop, pirate ship, tools, MP3 player, bus, trucks lots of clothes and 2 PJ's, bowling pins and ball, farm truck, movies, money, a tent/blanket/pillow, and his own towel with his initials. I think that is about it, like I said, spoiled! Thanks everyone for the gifts, and Merry (very late) Christmas!

Lights, Lights, Lights

The first of December (yes I'm that far behind), we went down to see the lights with Jason's family. We stayed at the time share in Wolf Creek, for the weekend, and Saturday night headed to Salt Lake to see the lights on Temple Square. It was Asher's first year since last year he was a little too little to go down. He loved the lights and when you were holding him, kept trying to grab them (which was not easy with his mittens on!) It wasn't as cold as we were expecting, and there was NO snow! And as much as I hate the snow, I will say the lights look even more beautiful with the snow! But it was a fun couple of days, even though I think Asher cried from about the Utah boarder on! (He was very tired and wanted to be held not in his seat. It was at night that we were going down) But was much better on the way back! Sorry Ally!

Then the week after we went with my brother Jaden, his family, and my parents to see a house here is Idaho Falls that does the lights synchronized with music. Asher thought that was really cool and stared the whole time we were there, then my dad took us all to get some ice cream at Arctic Circle and the kids played on the toys.

Crawling through the tubes! He loved playing on the toys with all the kids!

Thanksgiving

I am so far behind! But I am going to try to get caught up over the next few days weeks. (I hope!) But  anywhere, here is Thanksgiving. This year for Thanksgiving we went to my parents house, and, almost, my whole family was there! We were just missing my oldest niece, who lives in Utah, and then my oldest nephew, his wife and their little girl didn't come until after dinner and only stayed for a little while. But we still had 32 people for dinner (including my niece's boyfriend)! It was fun to be able to visit and see everyone. I didn't take many pictures, but here are some of the ones I did.
