Date!

So after going on my Mini Date with my little man, I decided that I needed to take my big man out on a date. Especially before this baby comes. So I called my parents and asked when they could watch Asher, then started planning. I am not creative in that way so I just decided that we would go to lunch and a matinee. I looked for like a week trying to decide which movie to go to, but they wouldn't put up the movies that were playing until just a couple of days before. Then when I could finally see what was playing for the day we had set up, I realized my big mistake. I had set up our date for the day after The Hunger Games came out. I did want to see the show eventually, but this was suppose to be a date for Jason! That is what we ended up going to because there really wasn't much else playing, and I felt so bad because I knew it was not Jason first pick of a show to watch, but we still had a good time. We ate lunch at Dickie's, and then went to our show. It was nice to get out, just us two, and will be a while before that happens again! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching Asher!

Mini Date

Back one day in March, we had to go to the mall for some odds and ends. Asher was such a good boy the whole time we were there that I decided we would get a pretzel when we were done. So after all our shopping was done we stopped in the "food court" and picked out a table. I took out some money and asked Asher if he could help me pay. He took the money in one hand, and grabbed my other hand and lead me over to the pretzel place and put the money up on the counter. He was so cute about it! We picked out our pretzel, and went back to our table to share it. He loved sitting on the chair across from me and looked so big doing it. I am really going miss the special one on one time I get with him after baby sis comes. But I will have to remember to still make time to go on little dates with my little man. On the way out I decided we should get a drink too, so we stopped at a vending machine and Asher got to pay again and pick out which pop he wanted. I sure love my little guy, and am so glad we did our little spur of the moment Mini Date!

Baby Sis

So we had our initial (21 week) ultrasound in January to tell us that we were having a girl. Then they did a follow up ultrasound about 6 weeks later, simply because of Asher's health problems that he had, they wanted to make really sure that she didn't have the same problems. She passed both ultrasounds with flying colors. It was such a relief to have that over, and to not have to worry so much about her. It was also nice to have them double check her gender, because I wasn't sure I believed them. I'm still not sure how I'm going to raise a girl. I have been outnumbered by boys my whole life, and don't have any sisters. But I guess that's where Jason comes in. :) He's just the opposite. Any ways then in March our doctors office told us that they would do a free 3D ultrasound. We normally wouldn't have done the 3D, but since it was free we figured why not?  We did have to have 2 appointments to get some good pictures, but the second appointment she was really cooperating and the tech was so excited she took A LOT of pictures. It was kind of funny to see how she changed just from picture to picture. It will be interesting to see what she actually looks like when she gets here. So here are some of the pictures of our sweet little girl.
Her with her arm on her knee and her hand in front of her face

 Rubbing her eyes
The only picture we got from the first appointment. In this one we think she really looks like Asher, but the ones from the second appointment she doesn't look like him as much.

Sick

The last week of Feb/first week of March Asher and I were really sick. It all started with me getting a sinus infection that I had been having on and off since about Thanksgiving. I finally decided to go to the doctor on Monday and they gave me some antibiotics. Then Tuesday night at about 11:00 Asher woke up throwing up. We brought him into our bed (he had been sleeping in his own bed for like 3-4 nights) were he continued to throw up about every hour until about 5am. He then was able to get some sleep (us too) for a little while. He spent Wednesday still not feeling the best, and threw up a few more times, and he wouldn't eat hardly anything. He was finally starting to act like he felt a little better. Then on Thursday night it was my turn. I started at about 6pm and by 9pm I was having quite a few contractions and wasn't able to get them to stop. I finally called my doctor, and she prescribed me nausea medication. I  was up all night but was finally able to get my contractions under control and was able to stop throwing up. Friday was a complete blur. I was so tired and still not feeling the best. I have to say that Jason is the absolute best. He got home Friday night at like 7:30pm from a very long day at work, and started the laundry (we had a lot especially from all the sickness), did the dishes, straightened the living room, vacuumed the  upstairs, and swept and mopped the kitchen! Isn't he the greatest? I did manage to give Asher a bath and take a shower in the same amount of time, and was so worn out but just that, that I think I went straight to bed. So glad that it didn't last too long!
He decided that this was the perfect setup. and it only took him about 4-5 trips to get everything down into our room and set up.
Playing with stickers while he was sick. He had the entire arm of our couch covered with Angry Bird and Cars stickers.

Jason's Basketball Tournament

Jason's b-ball tournament was the only game I really got pictures of, but we made it to almost every game. Asher loves basketball just about as much as he Dad does, and loved going to all the games. (Especially when he got to take money and get himself a treat from the vending machine!)

 Getting ready to start

I didn't end up with a whole lot of pictures because Asher kept stealing my camera to take pictures like this
He did manage to take this one too. With a little help. :)

Jason's team was undefeated in the regular season and the tournament. They dedicated the season to the guy to Jason's right, wife. She passed away from cancer.
Jason and (one of, because of course I am too!) his #1 fan!

February

Here are some pictures of some randomness that happened in February.
Asher decided one night that my vanity made a good garage for all his cars
They had to be lined up just so.

 All done
This is how he took his nap one day. He was being very quite while I cleaned, and when I went to check on him this is how I found him
And of course for Idaho, we have had a very crazy winter with lots of warm weather so of course we had to take advantage by playing outside lots.
He loves mowing, and every night when Dad got home he would try to get Dad to go get his mower too!
He also loves pushing his bike around and putting things in the little "trunk" in the back
 My sweet boy!
He will at least now sit like this and push himself around with his feet
We had sat out in our chairs one day. The next day Asher spent about five minutes going in and out of our house, I wasn't paying much attention until he finally came and got me to take me outside. When I went out, he had set up my chair, his chair, had brought out my water bottle and put it in the cup holder of my chair, and brought out his drink and put it in his cup holder. He was so proud of himself, and I have to say, he takes very good care of me!
He did a good job setting up!

West Yellowstone

In February Jason came home one night and said that he had taken the a couple of days off before his next class started and that we were going to go away for the night. So we ended up going to West Yellowstone. It was a fast one night trip but we had lots of fun and except for a slight mis-hap (Asher burned his hand on the fire place up there, and ended up with a big blister on his palm. And of course they didn't have any burn creme up at the time share.) and forgetting the bread for french toast, there were no major problems. We went right after we got there, and then cooked our take n' bake pizza we had taken up with us and spent the rest of the night watching TV/movies in our pajamas! It was nice to get away and it will be our last get away with just the three of us. :(

Jason and Asher got in the big pool first, but Asher didn't like it much and since the water wasn't very warm we moved on to the kiddie pool. Unfortunately the water there wasn't much warmer so we headed to the hot tub.
The hot tub was much warmer, and wasn't very hot so that is where we spent the rest of our time playing.
 Playing with his trucks.
 All bathed and jammered up
He decided he needed a turn at the camera and proceeded to take about ten pictures of the floor.
This was after he burned his hand and had cried for about 10-15 minutes, he tired himself out and took a half an hour nap. (I never got a picture of the blister, but it was fairly large, and we spent most of the rest of the night keeping a cold wash cloth on it)
Reading his new Lightning McQueen book on the way home.
